Site-61 Anomaly Designation: HEX-B098, "Hogmeat" (Biological Anomaly)
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-8707 is contained within a large biological entity containment unit within Site-61's biological studies wing. SCP-8707 is to be fed a pre-mixed organic slurry daily via an automatic feeding trough.
SCP-8707's chamber is to be cleaned bi-weekly. During cleaning or extraction of organic material, SCP-8707 is to be lured into an adjacent reinforced holding cage with food before being restrained.
Due to SCP-8707's mass and voracious appetite, no staff are permitted within SCP-8707's chamber while SCP-8707 is present.
Description:
SCP-8707 in containment.
SCP-8707 is a mammalian entity resembling an extremely large and overweight Sus domesticus, although genetically it is indistinguishable from [REDACTED]. SCP-8707 is approximately three (3) metres in height and weighs four (4) metric tonnes. SCP-8707's body is swollen with muscle tissue and fat deposits resulting in an almost spherical body shape supported by four muscular yet stout legs. SCP-8707's skin is a pale pink and possesses a tattoo on its side depicting a barcode, serial number, and █████████████ insignia.
SCP-8707's behaviour indicates a near constant state of starvation, though physical examination reveals no evidence of this.
SCP-8707's primary anomalous ability manifests as extremely rapid regeneration of lost body tissue, capable of regenerating any removed material within ten (10) seconds to seven (7) days, depending on the quantity of material removed. The process of regeneration can be accelerated by providing SCP-8707 with any form of organic nutrients, which it will consume voraciously. Organic material removed from SCP-8707 has proven to be an extremely dense source of nutrients, and has been determined to be completely safe for consumption.
Removal of material from SCP-8707 does not seem to elicit a pain response and SCP-8707 will continue to act as if the removed components were still present. SCP-8707 will still be hindered by the loss of any removed material until it has fully regenerated.
SCP-8707 has shown to be immune to most diseases, narcotics, chemicals, and medications, likely due to its regenerative properties. As such, any removal of material must be performed while SCP-8707 is conscious.
Addendum 8707-A: Testing Logs
In order to explore the extent of SCP-8707's regenerative capabilities, various tests involving removal of material from SCP-8707's body were performed. The results of these tests can be found below.
Amputated Material
Outcome
Notes
30cm² Skin Biopsy
Regenerated within twelve (12) minutes
N/A
30cm³ Tissue Biopsy
Regenerated within forty (40) minutes
Material noted as regenerating as it was being removed.
Right Ear
Regenerated within twenty (20) minutes
N/A
Left Back Foot
Regenerated within one (1) hour
Amputated foot regained full functionality, with no degradation in bone structure or flexibility.
Left Eye
Regenerated within three (3) hours
Eye rendered blind upon regeneration.
Hindquarters
Regenerated within two (2) days.
Minor motor function loss following regeneration. Eventually recovered.
Head
Regenerated within seven (7) days
Regeneration occurred from the removed head only, forming a functional body after regeneration with minor loss in function and mass. Head was noted as being completely functional for the entire process.
After the final test, to prevent further permanent damage to SCP-8707, all invasive tests have been concluded.

SECURE DOCUMENT - PROJECT LIMOS
Purpose: Solutions for continued operation of protocol 'Sixth-Sun' indefinitely into the future until a more permanent solution can be established.
Complications: Exponential increase of required sacrificial material outpacing the current feasible output of the SCP Foundation and cooperative groups. Current estimates place the projected required amount at two million tonnes annually within the next five (5) years. Continued increase of this amount is expected into the future.
Solution: Development of acceptable, rapidly self-sustaining source of sacrificial material for protocol 'Sixth-Sun'.
Utilisation of anomalous methods approved by O5-9, O5-10, and O5-13. Experimental mutagen HEC-682 has been approved for use and further development.
Due to the exclusive species requirement in which protocol Sixth-Sun can be performed, access to Site-61's replicated test subjects has been granted under the purview of Director Black, Dr. Cutter, and Ethics Committee representatives.
[BEGIN LOG]
Subject D-C001
Mutagen injected. Subject rapidly developed multiple tumours throughout entire body before total organ shutdown occurred. Remains liquidated.
Subject D-C002
Mutagen amount adjusted and injected. Subject's musculature began duplicating rapidly, causing great pain. Subject eventually succumbing to internal bleeding. Remains liquidated.
Subject D-C003
Mutagen mixture ratio adjusted and injected. Subject began generating large amounts of blood, exiting through all orifices and pores. Subject asphyxiated after lungs filled with fluid. Remains liquidated.
[EXCESS DATA REMOVED. See document P-Limos-EXLOG for a full list of results.]
Subject D-C112
Adaptive enzymes level increased to account for body's incapability to process adequate food. Genetic restructuring component further adjusted for bone and muscle density. Mutagenic regeneration rate further refined. Inclusion of Sus domesticus genetic material for mutation mitigation increased by a further 15%.
Subject stable and producing desirable results. Subject produces large quantities of acceptable organic material with no residual mutagenic compound at a highly accelerated rate. Little to no deviation from original mutation has been observed during regeneration process.
Intelligence reduced to below human sapience levels. Subject mutation considered adequate.
Subject D-C112 has been reclassified as SCP-8707, and assigned to appropriate containment at Site-61.
[END LOG]
Project Conclusion
Mass reproduction of experimentation results have been authorised, and will begin effective immediately.
For identification purposes, SCP-8707 and all further instances will be tagged with the following;
- Serial number
- Identification barcode
- SCP Foundation insignia
Following production, resulting instances of SCP-8707 will be distributed to Foundation sites constructed for large scale harvesting, and to globally designated GOC 'Banquet' zones for mass consumption under XK-Class preventative protocol 'Sixth-Sun'.
Population requirement for continued protocol sustainability currently estimated at fifty-thousand instances. Due to the inadequate speed in which replicated test subjects can be obtained, unrestricted use of current D-Class supply, volunteers, and civilian population has been fully authorised.
Project Limos deemed successful.
