Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-9161 are to be censured and confiscated, any person who was in possession of an instance of SCP-9161 is to be questioned and kept under foundation custody until further notice.
SCP-9161-ב and all instances of SCP-9161-ב-A are to be contained via a quaratine that consists of:
- At least 48 Hours of quarantine
- No access to the internet of any kind
- No access to any form of media (that includes but is not limited to literature)
- No contact with the external world of any kind outside of foundation personnel
Description: SCP-9161 is all metafictional phenomena across all fictional stories and Eye witnesses
It is a meta-narrative memetic agent in which a character or a media itself becomes aware of their own existence as a fictional construct, in the case of the character, they will grow a conciousness and be able to go ''off-script'' and speak to the ''audience''. The medias will look as if they've always been metafictional in nature, and all the records and memories regarding the media will change accordingly
SCP-9161-א is the phenomenon in which the fictional character(s) infected by SCP-9161(s) High Radiation will gain an actual consciousness and will try to communicate with the outside real world, it is to note that although these characters may grow a consciousness, they still need to abide to their narrative role.
Usually only one character is infected per media, but in the rare occasion in which more characters are infected, they wont be able to recognize one-another as being self-aware, or the anomaly will bend the script for them to never meet, The reason behind this is yet to be discovered but it is theorized that it's a way for the anomaly to keep the media intact without causing too many plot holes and therefore not making the story fall apart
SCP-9161-ב is a memetic agent that, when contracted, will make the infected think they exist in a alternate world or timeline. All people infected with SCP-9161-ב are to be designated as SCP-9161-ב-A
