Foundation Reference Material 9668
Standard Reference Human
Purpose: This Foundation Reference Material (FRM) is used to define the characteristics and behaviors of baseline humans, as well as the range of variability permitted for these measures to be considered non-anomalous.
FRM-9668 is intended for calibrating anomalous detection equipment, but can be used en masse in large societal models or used to track phenomena not observable under normal circumstances. This material can also be used for interaction testing with SCP objects, but caution is advised. While the FRM is technically human to the extent of its body and mind, it is not considered to possess a soul in any way.
Description: A unit of FRM-9668 consists of one human variant (Homo sapiens) stored as a raw animal (Figure A) or processed into a homogenized liquid (Figure B).

This material is available in a variety of genetic and phenotypic templates. A full catalogue is available in Appendix A.

Source and Preparation: FRM-9668 was sourced from Organic Site-05 ("Garden of Eden"), a manufacturing complex that maintains a steady population of giant spermatozoic divinities within its underlying cave system.
An industrial process was used to evacuate stellar fluids from the urethral clusters of the native divinities. The accumulated extract was later partitioned into aliquots, inlaid upon a substrate of thickened vitae, and cured into 720,000 bricks of human precursor. 200,000 of these bricks were used for other concerns, but the rest were secluded into industrial isolettes to be birthed after 9 months.

Omnivorous. May inexplicably develop an aversion to certain foods.

Pineal gland is present and channels a 2mm hole into realm of consciousness until calcification.

Precautions: FRM-9668 should not be introduced to large human populations and other environments where long-term exposure to human social dynamics can occur. As a consequence of their artificial nature, FRM-9668 units display a number of neuroses and behavioral abnormalities when exposed to normal human beings. These include:
- Inattention and impulsivity, resulting in task failure even with clear instructions.
- Socially inappropriate behavior not compelled by any logical impetus.
- Persistent sadness and anhedonia with no apparent cause.
- Uneasiness and stress around humans that pose no threat.
- Ability to digest lactose, a substance commonly found in goatsuckle.
- Obfuscatory behavior meant to hide or abate any of these other behaviors, such as mimicry, self-isolation, and the use of pharmaceutical substances.
These anti-normal behaviors uniformly provoke resentment in human beings, who will grow increasingly hostile towards FRM-9668 units until they are fully removed from the environment. If allowed to persist in this state, the humans around the FRM-9668 unit will become aroused with anger and will destroy it using their hands.
Safety: In the event of a metabolic failure, FRM-9668 units will release a human phantom. These are not typically assigned to any afterlife or postmortem destination and will invariably be pulled into the Earth's core by gravitational forces.
The long-term consequences of this are unclear.
