Description: SCP-9875 is an mnestic anomaly occurring within a standard hotel room at the Horizon View Resort in Orlando. Any individuals who have previously been administered amnestics will regain suppressed memories while inside SCP-9875. However, all memories restored during exposure are lost upon exiting the room.

Discovery: SCP-9875 was discovered by Dr. Cross, a senior researcher from the Foundation, who stayed at the hotel during unrelated personal travel. Approximately a week after returning, he found a note inside the breast pocket of his shirt, the contents of which he has refused to disclose. When reporting the incident, Cross had no prior memory of writing the note but confirmed the handwriting as his own. When questioned further, Cross could not recall which room he had entered, making the exact location of SCP-9875 difficult to ascertain.

Addendum 9875-5: Dr. Cross was granted limited access to a single D-Class Personnel to perform experimentation to determine 9875's exact location.

Test 01

Subject: D-30481

Procedure: Subject was instructed to systematically search every accessible room within Horizon View Resort. Subject was provided with writing materials and instructed to record room number immediately upon entry.

Result: Subject did not return.

Subject was believed to have sustained self-inflicted fatal injuries while inside SCP-9875.

Subsequent review of D-30481’s medical records confirmed a pre-existing diagnosis of multiple mental health disorders. The subject had previously been administered amnestics following exposure to a traumatic anomalous incident.
